The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring made-to-order omelets and a variety of healthy options. The local tram pass provided easy access to explore Basel, enhancing our stay .

They provided a gorgeous breakfast with berries and healthy options and numerous yummy pastries.

Superior hotel and the location easy to get to all the sites was particularly good. Location: the property was just off direct tram lines into Zentrum, the modestly priced artisanal shops and Basel for business. It was good to be 1 km away from Mano Curry, serving short-orders.

Consider asking for a room away from the tram tracks to avoid noise.

Quiet room, excellent reception staff, No 1&2 trams outside the door and the hotel provided a free city transport card for the duration of the stay- how fantastic to get this these days! Fitness cente also excellent- I had it all to myself in afternoons. Kettle and refreshent facilities also provided. On this I will definetly stay at a Swissotel again.

I was charmed by the elegant lobby and spacious layout, especially for seniors. The decor was modern yet inviting, with comfortable seating areas that encouraged relaxation after a day of exploring Basel.

Improve air conditioning in guest rooms.

They have a good Gym/spa, good location, easy acess by public transportation. Very friendly staff

Breakfast is a joke, it cost 32 chf for a choice of a 4 star hotel!

I booked this hotel through Booked.net special Flash deal offer. The price we paid for the hotel in front of the experience we had during our stay was truely a deal. The hotel staff welcomed us with a smile and even offered help to carry our luggage. The explained us the terms well, and the ongoing construction alongside the hotel. There was no disturbance at all due to construction in the night and we were anyway away during the day times. The best stay we've had till date from the hotels booked through Booked.net.

We visited the Musical Theater and the Natural History Museum, both fantastic. The room was spacious and the breakfast was great. The super nice team too!

Only downside was the air conditioning, which didn't cool properly at night.

We came to Basel to have 5th wedding anniversary and this Hotel was a perfect choice as we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to Premier room! I think that the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was confortable and well situated. I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were excellent and kept apologizing for the construction. However, we were not aware of any construction noise. Our room was quiet, excellent. Would happily stay there again.

Comfortable stay with potential improvements

I appreciated the spaciousness of my room, equipped with a coffee machine and large TV. The check-in staff were attentive. Breakfast lacked variety-consider local cafes for a more satisfying meal. Ensure you're not near the tram track for a quieter experience.

There was nowhere to sit in the reception area and it was very noisy the cooked breakfast was cold and the boiled eggs were not cooked

Room was high tech and well designed.

The location is central for business but the hotel was under construction. The noise started before 8am in the morning. As five stars hotels goes this was more a 4 Star
